The nights are drawing in and most of the caravan parks in North Wales will soon be bringing up the drawbridge and closing for another season....but there’s no reason why you can’t still come to the beautiful Llyn Peninsula and enjoy the freedom and fresh air you associate with a weekend away, and spending time on the water.
If you are in the market for a very comfortable live-aboard vessel which has berths for eight people, two saloons, a spacious galley, two shower rooms, large deck space and a powerful Gardner engine to take you cruising then this has to be considered. At an asking price of £42000 she represents very good value.
If you’re on budget you may well be looking for a project boat for sale, however, some people deliberately choose to take on a boat or narrowboat that needs some care and attention, because of their enthusiasm for waterways history and heritage.

In the last six months, further compelling reasons have emerged to make the Gibraltar Red Ensign the flag of choice. However, these changes aside, Gibraltar already has a host of advantages for registering a yacht in this unique southern European territory:
She is a Grand Soleil 46.3, yacht built in 2003 by a reputable Italian yard, Cantiere Del Pardo. She is a modern performance cruiser built to the highest European standards (EEC category A) as a safe and quick passage maker that can satisfy the requirements of the most demanding sailors.
Boatshed Dartmouth are delighted to offer for sale a Sadler 32. The Sadler 32 evolved from the hugely successful Contessa 32, also designed by David Sadler. The Contessa 32 was a real classic of its time, with elegant lines, low profile and superb heavy weather performance. However, in 1979 David Sadler designed the Sadler 32 to deal with the shortcomings of the Contessa 32, being limited accommodation through low headroom and narrow beam, sluggish light weather performance and rolling downwind. The result was the Sadler 32, which embodied several innovative features and represented an important "milestone" in cruising yacht design. About 300 Sadler 32s were built over a ten year period from 1979 to 1989. The boat proved enormously popular and is one of the best cruiser/racers still available today. This example was one of the last to be built by Sadlers and has had just one owner from new. She is well presented and has been well maintained

Boatshed Dartmouth are delighted to offer for sale a Jeanneau Arcadia. The design does not really date at all and down below the open plan layout is full of plenty of wood. The aft cabin and separate heads to starboard ensure good space for family or friends. There are folding doors to shut off the forecabin so its not completely open plan. In summary, overall a good design with no surprises. And I suspect she has quite a decent turn of speed as well.

So, taking a break from thinking about boats for sale, I just read about the Canal and River Trust partnering with the Poetry Society to appoint a Canal Laureate. Jo Bell is perfect for the role because she’s a liveaboard narrowboater, and a very active poet. The former archaeologist is now the Director of National Poetry Day. She writes and performs poems, manages projects, runs workshops, writes articles, edits publications and much more.
