Broker's Comments

1882 Dutch ‘Stevenaak’ Houseboat Moored in one of the most idyllic settings, with breath taking views over the River Deben and looking out over the world-famous Anglo Saxon remains at Sutton Hoo, This 25 metre Dutch Barge Houseboat conversion is a wonderful opportunity to get away from it all

Now residing in Suffolk, the boat was built in 1882 in Slikkerveer as a sailing barge, converted to a motor ship circa 1967 before being made into a residential vessel in 1995. The boat has been beautifully maintained over the years with incredible history having spent 6 years cruising the French canals previous to the 6 years spent here in Suffolk.

Mooring fees are based on the length of a boat and are very rare to find for a boat of this size. Moorings are contracted annually and the monthly Mooring charges are currently £369.60 per calendar month (£4,435 per annum). This fee covers; mooring, water supply, car parking, maintenance of grounds, post-box, and lighting on surrounding areas.

The boat is subject to Council Tax with Suffolk Coastal District Council (Band A currently £102pcm). She is being sold as a going concern, fully furnished and with an insurance survey valid until November 2021

These boat details are subject to contract.
Note: Offers on the asking price may be considered.
