About Steve Biggs

I have spent most of my life in and around Norfolk and boats in one form or another. Starting from a small child when I would come to Brundall with my parent’s and hire a Holiday home along the riverside.
My first real memory is of the river Yare! And some big boat yard up on the right (Brooms)

When old enough I used to holiday here on hire boats of all types and that cemented the boating bug that was later to consume my world.

Once married it was not long before we had the opportunity to move to one of the Broadland villages some 25 years ago and the die was cast that we should get our own boat.

Since then I have owned a Shetland 640, Fairline Holiday, Princess 286 Riviera, Sealine 328, Sealine S43, Bounty 44.
Boating has genuinely change my life forever, meeting great likeminded people, and becoming a way of life. So the opportunity to work in the world I love so much was inevitable and is wonderful.

My boating experience is wide and varied and includes both Power and Sail. I have certified accomplishments and RYA qualifications and accreditations for both.

I have boated all over the UK, both coastal, inland and off shore and have enjoyed boating extensively in Europe. I have taken our own boats to Holland, Belgium, London, Thames, Medway, Crouch, Orwell, Solent, Scotland and Wells next the sea.
I have made many a trip across the North Sea in company and solo, and have travelled up and down the East coast, of course always based from the beautiful Norfolk Broads.
I have amassed a large technical knowledge and understanding of boats navigation and all systems fitted to boats and am very hands on with my boats. A skill set and knowledge I am always happy to share and help others with. These skills and experiences give me a great depth of understanding and knowledge, that I hope I can use to help both buyers and sellers get the most out of their Boatshed experience.
