About Geoff Jaquest
I was born and bred near the River Medway in Kent and I've always had an interest in boats!
I bought my first boat in kit form for £62 from the Daily Mirror and it was a Mirror dinghy. It took me 6 weeks to build her and when she was finally launched I taught myself how to sail on Hoo Ness on the Medway. I progressed through several different dinghies up to a Fireball which was incredibly fast but great fun! I was lucky enough to be able to sail a Moody 32 whilst teaching the owner all of the tricks of the trade. Over 3 years we enjoyed sails around the Medway, Thames and East Coast always avoiding the sand banks..
Having a break from sailing I decided to change sports to Show Jumping and Eventing Horses. I gained my AI (a teaching standard) with the British Horse Society and taught many young individuals, some having great successes. One even became an Olympic Champion!
After selling my Broom 35 Sedan through Boatshed, I thought it would interesting to find out more about working for an International Brokerage. I got in contact with Boatshed and here I am!!
For the past two years I have been privileged to act as a broker agent for Boatshed Suffolk and sold many boats. Making lots of new friends and meeting like thinking people. I am here to help you sell your boat but equally here to help anyone who wants to buy a boat!
