About Ben Farnell
Hello! I am very excited to join the Suffolk team, I have been around boats the majority of life and am delighted to have the opportunity to make my hobby a career.
My family have always owned boats and even from a young age I would never say no to a day out on the Norfolk and Suffolk broads. As well as family boating I found an interest in dinghy sailing and worked through to RYA Level 3 and also had the opportunity as a young teenager to gain my RYA powerboat level 2 certificate.
Much of my sailing has been around the Norfolk and Suffolk broads as well as off the coast of Suffolk and a summer flotilla in Croatia!
I currently hold my Day skipper qualification and am looking forward to the chance to extend my practical and theory knowledge with the aim of achieving yachtmaster as well as instructor qualifications.
I am delighted to be working alongside the great team in Suffolk and helping Boatshed Suffolk customers get the most they can from their boating activities
