Broker's Comments

Westerly are renowned for making solid, comfortable and lasting cruising boats with a good turn of performance. With their reputation, the Oceanquest is no exception with ease of handling and the extra spacious interior.

On visiting this boat I was impressed by its overall look of good condition and what appears to be a high standard of maintenance and upkeep. The vendor is an experienced skipper and has ensured the boat has been maintained and upgraded to a high standard over their years of ownership.

This boat provides excellent options for living aboard, coastal and longer distance cruising. With a sweeping, secure, centre cockpit and wide side decks, making it ideal for families and longer distance cruises for when the weather changes.

The current owner has invested in numerous upgrades including; new windows, windlass and the addition of AIS. This version also benefits from having recent headlining through out and the teak deck has been maintained using Borocol (as recommended by Hallberg Rassy).

This boat is set up for long distance cruising and has been insulated throughout. When I visited the boat, I was struck by its spacious feel due to the number of hatches, windows and the open space below which also provides comfortable accommodation and ample headroom. The interior provides plenty of storage, a comfortable saloon with wrap around sofa and a multifuel stove for cosy nights onboard with friends or family. The galley has everything you need for preparing meals and is opposite the large navigation area with chart table and is well equipped. Going forward to a large separate forward double cabin, with storage, vanity unit and wardrobe. Working aft, a separate heads with shower, with dividing doors and a separate, spacious aft cabin with an island bed, wardrobe and vanity unit, providing extra space for guests or families.

This boat is an attractive option for a range of uses, including the potential for coastal cruising, extended passage making and live-aboard possibilities, all in a solid, tidy boat with an excellent reputation. There is much to be had from this sought after boat with its varied appeal and good condition.
