Boarding is via the swim platform, equipped with safety handrails (staples), and then into the cockpit, or directly to the side decks at the wheelhouse level via an aluminum Marquipt boarding ladder.

The cockpit features newer carpeting, canvas cockpit cover, docking control station, a storage cabinet, and access to the lazarette with its steering gear, tankage, etc. Steps up to the enclosed aft sundeck are carpeted.

The aft deck is a lovely room and entertaining space -- with a large dining table and settee, newer carpeting, removable isinglass windows, refrigerator, wet bar, and wing doors to port and starboard side decks.

The main salon is entered via double doors from the aft deck, and is a legitimate living room. It features an TV/entertainment console, a newer sofa with fold-out sleeper, and space for a piano (the present one will remain aboard, if the buyers wish). Hardwood floors are a recent addition.

The large and commanding wheelhouse is on the same level, and is not isolated from the salon. A bench seat will seat four underway. Doors open to the port and starboard side decks.

The galley is down a carpeted, curved stairway. Most appliances are newer or new, as is the quartz countertop. A comfortably upholstered dinette is opposite. Beneath the galley is the generator room, with a Northern Lights 8 kw generator and a Kohler 19 kw generator. It also houses other systems including heat/air (reverse-cycle systems new 2018 -- five Dometic units for a total of 58 k BTU).

The VIP stateroom is forward, featuring an ensuite head/shower and over/under single berths.

The companionway aft of the galley leads to the master suite, and enroute you'll pass the laundry (with separate washer and dryer units), a wine locker and other storage, the guest stateroom with twin single berths, a head/shower compartment, and engineroom access doors (port and starboard enginerooms),

The master stateroom is full beam (meaning that it's enormous) and includes a queen berth, a built-in sofa to port, shelves, drawers, and a hanging closet, and an ensuite head which includes a bathtub. Nothing spartan for the masters of this vessel!

The flybridge is accessed from the aft deck via ladder and hatch. There is a full canvas and isinglass enclosure for this space, which includes a large settee and table, a bar-type hightop table, and the flybridge helm station with dual high-backed captain's chairs. A chest freezer is located here.

The exterior decks are designed for easy movement and working -- with wide side decks, and a large foredeck. There is built-in seating on the foredeck.

9 VIRTUAL TOURS - 1 VIDEO - 169 PHOTOS - FULL SPECS CAN BE VIEWED OF THIS VESSEL!

The Hatteras 61 Cockpit Motor Yacht was considered a veritable megayacht during the period of its production run! Built for roomy comfort, seagoing capability, and for long range cruising she was immodestly a big boat for those with big ambitions for their boating and for extended time aboard including those living aboard.

This boat has had attentive owners, including the present sellers, who have spent generously and have been proud to keep this boat cruising and attractive and reliable. Recent additions or enhancements include:
New Dometic reverse-cycle heating / air conditioning systems
Interior flooring -- hardwood in salon, carpeting in accommodations areas
Custom mattresses
Flybridge enclosure
Refrigerator/freezer, icemaker and cooktop
Victron inverter
Complete battery replacements (primarily in 2020)

The seller has also made a commitment to refresh the exterior varnish (of which there is not an excess -- handrails and trim strips) prior to sale.

Many other features add utility and value, including Naiad stabilizers, Wesmar bow thruster, an enclosed aft sundeck which creates another living space, dual generators (8 kw + 19 kw), cockpit docking station, and a tremendous enclosed entertainment space on the flybridge.
