- Suffolk Boatshed
As Spring is only a daffodil away I cannot help but reflect on what a lovely place this it to live, as I explore and meet people across the county, the Rivers, Alde, Deben, Are, Stour and the Waveney, the Broadland rivers in the north, there is a very real sense of place and Suffolk is still a traditional and classic boating centre that is marvellous .
I have been based in East Anglia for many years and have a good working knowledge of the cruising grounds of our beautiful region from the stretches of open broads in the north to the rivers of the south and the many harbours , marinas and waterways. Our regions traditions and history and the many facets of nautical interest and a multitude of craft makes this one of the most interesting to sail and a privilege to serve. And sitting on a quay, or talking to marina owners or sailors , is always a pleasure. I have looked after many boats over the years, a gaff rigged double ended 1924 yawl, a steel motor yacht, a narrowboat and latterly a dutch barge , whilst all distinctly different, all with different stories nonetheless all simply put....just boats and I look forward to representing owners with an equally wide range of boats in the seasons to come. I am a commercially endorsed Yachtmaster and RYA Shore Instructor with several transats logged BUT every day out and about in the region I learn something of value and interest in our boating communities and we look forward to meeting you .
