About Nicholas Crook
I started sailing at a young age when my father built a Mirror dinghy for the family. During my time on the water, I have enjoyed sailing and racing dinghies through to ex-Olympic Tornado catamarans!
Before joining Boatshed I enjoyed a successful sales and marketing career culminating as Sales and Marketing Director for a very well-known liqueur brand (handy for a sailor!).
I am now semi-retired and spend my time sailing my boats here and abroad and "being busy" in the local boatyards on the East Coast as well as now living on the water in an ex-Trinity House Pilot Cutter!
I love to sail and 'mess' about on the water and have an unending fascination with the sea and all things nautical. More recently I was involved in restoring the Thames sailing barge Melissa which we now cruise and race all over the East Coast. I am also becoming more involved in the Ipswich Maritime Trust in their research and development.
Working for Boatshed Suffolk has been a natural extension for me, combining my job skills, knowledge, and passion for the water.
